Caretaker Labour Minister Hasan Ademov met with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham). Talks focused on the development of the labour market in the context of digital transformation, the introduction of artificial intelligence, and various forms of employment, the Ministry said on Monday.

According to Ademov, the goal of the current caretaker team is to address the tasks that can be solved now and to prepare solutions for the next regular government. AmCham CEO Ivan Mihaylov said that it is important to have predictability and stability.

Ademov also presented to the organization the measures the caretaker government is taking in connection with the rising energy prices, such as granting EUR 20 in aid to the most vulnerable. Other ministries are working in different areas, Ademov said.

The caretaker government is ready to hear proposals from industry organizations in order to make the best support decisions that do not endanger fiscal stability, Ademov added.

The caretaker government decided to provide additional funding to the Ministry of Labour to implement a temporary programme to compensate households for increased fuel prices.
