Bulgaria's Central Election Commission (CEC) conferred with the core team of the election observation mission of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), CEC said in a press release on Thursday.

That was the second meeting of the Commission and the international observers who will monitor the April 19 early parliamentary elections.

The participants in the meeting discussed key issues related to the legal framework of the election process and the specific challenges posed by its arrangements. CEC familiarized the observers with the steps taken so far and with the current preparations for the elections that it is carrying out within the framework of its powers under the law.

"The Central Election Commission will be assisting the mission in all matters concerning the elections and will maintain constructive dialogue with the observers," the press release says.
