site.btaParliament to Discuss on First Reading Five Bills Amending Penal Code
Parliament is set to debate at first reading five bills proposing amendments to the Penal Code, according to the agenda adopted for Thursday's plenary sitting.
Four of the bills have been approved by the National Assembly’s Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs, while one has been rejected.
The legislature's agenda for the day also provides for lawmakers to hear caretaker Minister of Energy Traicho Traikov and Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant Executive Director Ivan Andreev regarding escalating costs related to the annual scheduled maintenance programmes for Units 5 and 6 in 2026.
The agenda also includes a bill to ratify the Framework Agreement between the Government of Bulgaria and the Federal Council of the Swiss Confederation concerning the implementation of the Second Swiss Contribution to selected European Union member states, aimed at supporting measures in the field of migration.
