site.btaParliament Extends Sexual Crime Protection to Under-16s
Parliament approved on Wednesday that individuals under 16 will receive the same legal protections against sexual offenses as children under 14. The bill was submitted by MPs from MRF– New Beginning.
Parliament also decided that sexual abuse of a person under 16 will be punishable by imprisonment ranging from five to twenty years.
