site.btaGERB Leader Borissov Calls Freedom a Choice, Urges for Responsibility in National Day Message

Freedom is a choice, GERB leader Boyko Borissov wrote in a Facebook post marking Bulgaria’s National Day. According to him, freedom is the choice to take responsibility.

“It is a choice to preserve peace when the world is shaken. A choice to defend the national interest when times are difficult. A choice to think about the future, not only about today,” Borissov said.

“On March 3, we remember that freedom was won through struggle. Today, it is our duty to uphold it - with character, reason and actions. Happy March 3!” the GERB leader added.

Bulgaria marks the 148th anniversary of its Liberation today. Events dedicated to the national holiday are being held across the country.
