The National Assembly will hold its first regular parliamentary question time with the participation of the caretaker Government, according to the legislature's agenda for this week.

Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov and ministers of Finance Georgi Klisurski, of Foreign Affairs Nadezhda Neynski, of Defence Atanas Zapryanov, of Health Mihail Okoliyski, of Environment Yulian Popov and of Sports Dimitar Iliev are scheduled to answer questions from MPs during Friday’s plenary sitting.

Under the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, regular parliamentary question time takes place every Friday during the last three hours of the sitting, unless MPs decide otherwise.

The first item on the agenda is a bill to ratify the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) concerning the designation of the Centre for Underwater Archaeology as a Category 2 institute under the auspices of UNESCO, to be named the Institute for Underwater Heritage.

Lawmakers are also expected to debate a bill ratifying the Partnership Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, on the one hand, and the members of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States, on the other, signed in Samoa on November 15, 2023.
