MRF - New Beginning Floor Leader Delyan Peevski Thursday congratulated Muslims on the start of Ramadan. "May the holy month of Ramadan inspire everyone to do good deeds," he said, as quoted by the party's press centre.

In his greeting to Muslims, Peevski wished health, peace, and spiritual strength to every family and every home. "May the iftar dinners be filled with abundance and warmth. May this month inspire everyone to do good deeds, show compassion and support those in need," added the MRF leader.

"I wish you days filled with humility, kindness, and compassion, and may the values of Ramadan unite and inspire us to greater understanding, solidarity, and peace," he said further.

Muslims believe that during the holy month of Ramadan, the Koran was revealed to the prophet Mohammed. They fast during the daylight hours. After sunset, families and friends gather for prayer and dinner - iftar, the MRF's press centre explains.
