The MPs secured quorum to open the sitting already at the first registration. The electronic board showed 183 MPs present. Last week, on Thursday and Friday, the National Assembly failed to secure a quorum and did not hold plenary sittings.

According to the agenda for the day, Parliament is scheduled to consider at second reading amendments to the Audit Office Act related to the closure of the Anti-Corruption Commission.

Nadezhda Yordanova of the parliamentary group of Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) requested that the agenda include a draft declaration calling for the election of a new Prosecutor General. National Assembly Chair Raya Nazaryan replied by saying that this is inadmissible, does not meet the requirements of the Rules of Procedure, and there is no committee report.

The proposal by Bozhidar Bozhanov, CC-DB MP, to consider amendments to the Electronic Identification Act was not adopted.

At the proposal of Hristo Gadzhev of GERB-UDF, the MPs decided to extend Wednesday’s sitting until the adoption at first reading of a bill concerning the general requirements for the provision of amusement services representing a source of increased danger.
