Commenting on the large-scale protests in Sofia and major regional centres across the country against the adoption of the 2026 State Budget Bill, Vazrazhdane Chair Kostadin Kostadinov said that “the protests must continue until the mafia government resigns and early elections are scheduled”. Kostadinov was quoted by the party’s press office on Tuesday.
“Yesterday, 100,000 Bulgarians in Sofia and hundreds of thousands more across the country took to the streets for one reason only – resignation, justice, and prison for the mafia in power,” Kostadinov’s statement continued.
“The lies and hypocrisy that politicians show toward their voters must be eradicated once and for all. But for that to happen, Bulgarians must go out and vote – not for money or personal gain, but for freedom and a dignified life,” Kostadinov also added.
