Employees of the Regional Environment and Water Inspectorate (REWI) in Stara Zagora held a protest Wednesday to demand a 20% increase in their pay and the inclusion of a seniority class in their salaries. Their actions were part of an initiative by the Podkrepa Confederation of Labour.

The protesters demanded decent pay, noting that they have many responsibilities, including working with the fire department, police and various other important institutions.
