Traffic is heavy at border checkpoints with Serbia and Turkiye, the website of the Border Police Directorate said on Monday Morning.

Major repairs are being carried out on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge near Ruse on the border with Romania, which is why temporary traffic arrangements have been put in place. Traffic is normal at the other border crossings.

Construction work is underway on the road from the Greek side towards Rudozem-Xanthi. The Greek authorities have put up signs indicating that the area is a construction site and that no unauthorised persons are allowed to enter the site.

Only light vehicles and minibuses up to 3.5 tonnes are allowed to pass through the border crossings Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.

On the border with the Republic of North Macedonia, checkpoint Stanke Lisichkovo is undergoing complete reconstruction. Due to the repairs, passage through the checkpoint is limited to a restricted number of lanes.
