Traffic at the Kalotina border control checkpoint with Serbia was heavy for incoming cars, the General Directorate Border Police said on Saturday.

Traffic at border checkpoints with Turkiye and North Macedonia remained normal. Reconstruction continues at the Stanke Lisichkovo checkpoint on the North Macedonian border, where crossing is limited to a reduced number of lanes due to renovation works.

At the border with Romania, renovation of the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse is ongoing. A temporary traffic management scheme is in place, allowing vehicles to cross in only one lane, with movement regulated by the contractor’s staff.

On July 2, the Oryahovo-Bechet ferry platform on the Danube suspended operations for an indefinite period due to low water levels in the river.

Construction works are underway on the Greek side of the Rudozem-Xanthi route, where authorities have posted signs declaring the area a construction site and prohibiting unauthorized access.

At the border crossings in the regions of Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad, only cars and vans weighing up to 3.5 t are permitted to cross.
