The President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, held a “pleasant and friendly protocol discussion” with Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov on the eve of the June 24-25 NATO Summit in The Hague.

In brief remarks to the special correspondent of TV 21, Siljanovska said that she and Zhelyazkov talked about “the need for mutual understanding and mutual respect.” They discussed “the need to be guided by the spirit of our two peoples, to help each other and to make sure that those who are already in the EU help those who are on their way to the EU.”

“I trust words, I believe in the need for friendship, I believe this will come to pass, and I think it is inevitable,” Siljanovska said.

In addition to the President, the delegation of North Macedonia to The Hague includes Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Minister Timco Mucunski and Defence Minister Vlado Misajlovski.
