Athens will host the second AmChams Regional Economic Summit (ARES) on June 12–13, 2025, bringing together at least 250 business leaders from Southeast Europe, Eurasia, and the Eastern Mediterranean. The forum, jointly organized by the American Chambers of Commerce in Greece, Turkiye, and Bulgaria, is held under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its theme is Building Bridges for Trade, Investment, and Innovation.
Following the successful debut of the initiative in 2024 in Istanbul, the partner network has expanded to American Chambers of Commerce from Armenia, Cyprus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan as co-organizers. In total, fifteen AmCham organizations are working to promote investment opportunities in the region and strengthen cross-border cooperation.
The conference program will explore seven strategic sectors: Energy - energy security, renewable resources, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure; Hospitality and real estate - tourism recovery and destination development; Construction and infrastructure - smart cities and sustainable urban development; Finance and investments - access to capital and innovative public-private partnership models; Technology - artificial intelligence, digital skills, and regional tech-innovation ecosystems; Manufacturing - green and smart processes; Logistics - supply chain sustainability and transparency.
The conference is aiming to foster dialogue among government representatives, corporate leaders, diplomats, and international organizations, shaping the future economic priorities of the region.
