site.btaGreece's Foreign Minister Pays Official Visit to Bulgaria

Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis is paying an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel. The visit is in the context of the enhanced political dialogue between the two countries.

The visit's programme includes a bilateral meeting with Gabriel and plenary talks between the two delegations. 

Strategic areas of mutual interest, opportunities for deepening bilateral relations, and joining efforts to respond to regional and global challenges are expected to be discussed.

The main priorities for the Bulgarian side in the development of bilateral cooperation are maintaining an active political dialogue at high and top level, and deepening and expanding sectoral cooperation; active cooperation and coordination on issues on the EU agenda and the prospects for the development of the region; implementing common energy projects and improving the connectivity of the border regions; creating favorable conditions for the growth of trade and tourism; expanding cooperation in the region. 

On January 4, 2024, Gabriel was part of a government delegation led by Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov during his working visit to Greece.
