No Bulgarians are in distress in Greece’s disaster area, all of them have food and water for the time being, Bulgaria’s Consul General in Thessaloniki Anton Markov said on bTV Friday morning.

In his estimate, quite a few Bulgarians are in the flood-hit areas, "certainly more than 100" in the coastal city of Volos.
Markov said that some 30 Bulgarian nationals were evacuated on Thursday by a coast guard vessel from villages in the area to Volos and on to Thessalonki.

“We are in constant touch with the Greek authorities, and we give them the contact details of our citizens,” the Consul General added.

It is not yet clear when ferry services will be resumed. Markov advised against travelling to the Island of Skiathos.
