site.btaAnother 4.5-Magnitude Quake in Turkish Kahramanmaras Province


A 4.5-magnitude earthquake was registered at 1734 hrs on Monday in the southeastern Turkish province of Kahramanmaras, the epicentre of the devastating quakes of February 6. The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said the quake was epicentred in the town of Goksun at a depth of 8.7 km.
No loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far. Aftershocks have been registered in many places in Turkiye in the last month and a half.
The death toll has risen above 50,000 and those injured are about 115,000.
