In 2023, inflation in the Republic of North Macedonia will be halved and 2024 will be a year of economic recovery and positive economic trends, Fatmir Bytyqi, Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of Economic Affairs and Investments, said in an interview with TV Star as quoted by the government press service.

On Tuesday, the government of North Macedonia is expected to announce officially a freeze of the price of eggs and rice.

Bytyqi said that the short-term effect of the price freeze is to help citizens not to be left alone to bear the brunt of price increases.
