On this date in Bulgarian history:
1923: General elections are held. Bulgarian Agrarian National Union wins 54% of the vote.
1950: Diplomatic relations established with Mongolia.
1991: Trade agreement signed with United States.
1992: Council of Europe's Anti-Doping Convention is ratified.
1992: Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and the Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees is ratified.
1994: The Chamber of Electrical Engineering in Bulgaria was established. On September 18, 2008, it was renamed the Bulgarian Association of Electrical Engineering and Electronics (BASEL).
1997: The Bulgarian Association of Grain and Feed Traders (BAGFT) was established by 28 companies. It was registered on January 19, 1998.
2001: First private hydroelectric power plant unveiled in Simitli Municipality, owned by a Sofia-based company.
2015: The Sofia City Court declared Corpbank insolvent. The court set November 6, 2014 - the date its licence was revoked - as the initial date of the bank’s insolvency. A general distraint and seizure were imposed on the assets of Corporate Commercial Bank.
