The National Real Estate Association (NREA) presented on Friday its annual Inspire to Higher 2025 awards, dedicated to the socially responsible mission of the real estate sector toward society and the profession.
The awards are given in four categories: Heart in Real Estate (for a social or charitable initiative), Ambassador of the Profession (for contribution to the development and prestige of the profession), Journalism (for professional and objective media coverage), and an Honorary Award (for outstanding contribution to the association).
The award ceremony took place as part of the 11th National Conference “Inspire to Higher 2025: The Real Estate Market in the Eurozone”, held at the Hyatt Regency Sofia Hotel. The forum, organized by the National Real Estate Association, brought together representatives of the professional community of brokers, the banking sector, and international experts from Central and Eastern Europe.
The Heart in Real Estate award went to Stefka Kalcheva from the Burgas office of the Association for her charitable activities and support for disadvantaged families, her strong civic commitment beyond her daily work, and her involvement with the Community Support Center in Burgas.
In the same category, Daniela Grozeva from the Association’s Sofia office was also honored for her support of the Home of Opportunity initiative, a programme that helps young people leaving child care homes by providing them with a network of housing.
Gergana Tenekedzhieva and her agency “Address Real Estate” were recognized for their charitable activities and support of disadvantaged youth who have completed professional qualification courses, enabling them to develop in their chosen fields. Each year, Address Real Estate donates a percentage of its profits to charity and helps young people without parental care gain an equal start in the labor market.
Capital Estate was recognized for its charitable activities and support in improving the facilities of the Moryache kindergarten in the Slaveykov district of Burgas since 2018, as well as for helping to build six children’s playgrounds with the assistance of parents.
Angel Ivanov and Andromeda Real Estate were honored for their charitable work and support of young people engaged in both team and individual sports, as well as for numerous small-scale social donations and initiatives aimed at creating a better society and a more modern and comfortable living environment.
In the Ambassador of the Profession category, an award was presented to Alexander Bochev from RealNet, nominated for his impeccable professionalism and ethical conduct, which elevate the prestige of the real estate broker profession and serve as an example within the industry.
Anton Andonov and his company ERA Real Estate were also honored by the professional community, which voted for them in recognition of their personal and professional qualities.
Daniela Grozeva, co-owner of Veda Correct, received an overwhelming national vote for her professionalism, dedication, and ethical conduct, which enhance the prestige of the profession and serve as a model within the field.
Mariana Stamenova, manager of Bokar Real Estate, earned the votes of her colleagues thanks to her high professionalism and many years of experience as a broker, from which the entire industry can learn.
Nadya Antova, owner of Nadilena Real Estates, was recognized for her drive and energy, which inspire her colleagues to pursue higher professional standards, ethics, and cooperation.
In the Journalism Award category, Vanya Bedrova, Programme Director of Euronews Bulgaria, was recognized. Her team received votes from brokers across the country in acknowledgment of their in-depth and objective coverage of the development of the real estate market and property transactions in Bulgaria broadcast on the television channel.
An award in the same category was also presented to Kiril Valchev, Director General of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA). The oldest Bulgarian media organization, founded in 1898 and led by him, received votes from brokers as recognition of its professionalism, dedication, and objectivity in covering the real estate market.
The award was accepted by BTA Deputy Director General Evgenia Drumeva, who thanked the association on behalf of Valchev, who is visiting Moldova and Ukraine this week for the Day of the Bessarabian Bulgarians.
Snezhana Stoycheva from imoti.net received recognition as a journalist and representative of a media outlet that thoroughly and objectively reports on the development of the real estate market and property transactions in Bulgaria. Hristo Nikolov from Bloomberg Television was also honored for the professional and personal qualities of the television team.
In the Award Without Analogue category, Mariana Hlibova was recognized for her dedicated and responsible work over the course of 32 years, since the very founding of the National Real Estate Association.
Former Association Chair Dobromir Ganev presented an honorary badge to Alexander Bochev, the current Chairman of NREA Management Board, on the last day of his term. The distinction acknowledges his successful, productive, active, and constructive leadership of one of the oldest professional associations in Bulgaria’s modern history.
