The Kyustendil Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), together with the Green Transport Cluster, will hold a second discussion forum on "Transport Connectivity: Key Projects for Sustainable Development of Southwestern Bulgaria" on Monday, KCCI told BTA.

The forum will feature Deputy Prime Minister and Transport and Communications Minister Grozdan Karadjov, Deputy Foreign Minister Nikolay Pavlov, MPs, including members of parliamentary committees on regional policy and transport, Alexander Vetzkov, Director General of the National Railway Infrastructure Company, and Stoyan Nikolov, board member of the Road Infrastructure Agency.

The event is expected to be attended by mayors, representatives of foreign partners, and guests including the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Confindustria Bulgaria, the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, and business representatives and experts.

The forum follows an initial meeting held in Kyustendil in June, which marked the start of a broad public and institutional dialogue on transport connectivity in Southwestern Bulgaria, KCCI said. Monday's meeting will focus on three strategic priorities for the region: the construction of the Rila Motorway, the railway linking Gyueshevo, Kyustendil and Sofia, and the development of Transport Corridor 8.
