The Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) party has invited their coalition partners, Yes, Bulgaria and Continue the Change, to a national forum to nominate a joint candidate for the 2026 presidential elections, the party’s press service reported on Friday. The forum will gather public figures, extra-parliamentary parties, independent civic organizations, and the Forum for Democratic Action circle.

The aim of the event is to express clear political will for unity and support for a joint candidate of the pro-European and anti-corruption democratic community for the 2026 presidential elections.

According to DSB, winning the presidential elections represents a historic opportunity to shift the current political dynamic in favour of the pro-European and anti-corruption democratic community.

The press service stated: “Bulgaria needs a president, a convinced democrat, firmly committed to the country’s Euro-Atlantic affiliation and uncompromising against corruption. A president with knowledge and understanding of the high constitutional role, who does not divide but unites. In the upcoming 2026 elections, we have the historic chance to achieve this,” the press centre said.
