Water supplied through the water supply network in Pleven meets quality standards and is suitable for drinking and household use, the Pleven Water Utility Company said on Friday.

Results from analyses conducted on the same day were published on the company’s website. The company also conducts improved water monitoring in coordination with the Regional Health Inspectorate – Pleven due to water supply restrictions resulting from the ongoing water crisis in Pleven.

Samples are collected weekly from all city districts and monitoring points authorized by the Inspectorate. They are analyzed for basic physicochemical properties, organoleptic parameters, and microbiological indicators. Test results are available within 48 hours.

The most recent samples, collected on September 9, confirm that the water meets all 13 tested parameters. It is tasteless, odorless, and has acceptable turbidity levels. The Pleven Water Utility Company will implement increased monitoring of drinking water quality and will regularly publish the results on its website.

Following Deputy Regional Governor Pavlin Filyovski’s order, the state of emergency in the Pleven region will remain in effect through October 1.
