A rally held in front of Parliament on Friday night called for stricter measures on gambling advertising. The protesters' demands include the gambling-related measures already introduced by the government as well as the adoption of four additional policies, said the organizer of the event, Svetlin Valchev.
Valchev reported that the protesters' demands include having gambling establishments near educational institutions banned, prohibiting celebrities and influencers from advertising gambling, having gambling logos removed from sports kits, and imposing a maximum deposit limit on online casinos, where people between 18 and 24 can deposit up to EUR 250 a month, while people aged 25 and over can deposit up to EUR 500.
