Navy officers neutralized a drone found on a beach in Sozopol on Tuesday, the press centre of the Defence Ministry told BTA on Tuesday.

By order of the Navy Deputy Commander, Fleet Admiral Vanyo Musinski, the group led by Captain III Rank Zhivko Karchev for the disposal of unexploded ordnance set off from the Burgas Naval Base to the site in Sozopol.

On site, the servicepersons determined that the discovered object was an unknown model of a drone, which could potentially have a combat unit. Fleet Admiral Musinski authorised the destruction of the drone on site, in strict compliance with safety measures.
