site.bta159 Fires Extinguished in Bulgaria in Past Day, No Casualties Reported

A total of 159 fires were extinguished across the country in the past 24 hours, the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection reported on its website. Fire crews have responded to 214 calls.

No fatalities or injuries were reported in connection with the fires over the past day.

Twenty-seven of the fires caused material damage, nine of them being in residential buildings. Another 132 fires resulted in no material damage.

In addition, 39 rescue and assistance operations were carried out, six of which were related to traffic accidents.
