Conditions for hiking in the mountains are good, according to the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC).
Facilities in the resorts are operating according to the summer schedule.
Mountain rescuers assisted in the transport of two deceased persons in Stara Planina and Rila, as well as in several cases where tourists had sprained ankles.
Temperatures in the higher parts of the mountains are between 8C and 18C, the MRS of the BRC added.
