site.btaInternational Festival of Mexican Culture to Be Held in Vratsa village of Lyuti Brod


An international festival presenting a part of Mexican culture, alternative music, wellness trainings and holistic seminars will be organized in the Vratsa village of Lyuti Brod by the Codex Aurum Foundation, the Bulgarian Embassy in Mexico announced. The festival XFest Bulgaria 2025 will be held from July 25 to 27 in the village, but its opening will be on July 23 in Sofia, and on July 24 a visit to emblematic spiritual places in the country is planned, organizers said.
World-famous musicians dedicated to non-commercial alternative music will visit Bulgaria for the first time. On the first night, three Mexicans will take the stage: José Pablo Jiménez Henriquez, who will present “a profound journey through medieval, Persian and Mongolian sacred sounds”; Luis Mendez, who will present the ancient voice of Mayan instruments and the musical tradition of Mexican ancestors, and opera singer Eduardo Dica.
Saturday's programme will include performances by Canadian-Israeli musician and singer Yael Deckelbaum and Loten Namling, who will perform Tibetan tribal songs. On Sunday, audiences will hear another Israeli musician, singer-songwriter Orca Teppler, as well as Chilean, Cuban and Colombian salsa, cumbia and merengue group Ritmo Latino.
Throughout the three days of the festival, there will be an organized outdoor Cacao, Chile & Maíz artisan kitchen offering culinary delights representing the many nations of the festival.
Organizers are also planning holistic workshops and experiences designed to nourish the mind, body and spirit. Skills that enhance life and promote well-being and personal growth will be taught. There will be 12 masterclasses, including The Art of Sutil Ki - Aikido, Remembering the Sacredness of Natural and Organic Birth, The Magic of Pantomime Performance, The Art of Knowing Mexican Temascal through Toltec Shamanism, Mastering Your Voice through Tibetan Mantras, The Healing Melodies of World Music, The Sacred Science of Ancient Temples: A Journey into the Sacred Geometry and Fields of the Earth, ”Cosmic Design: Discovering the Deep Connections Between the Cosmos and Your Life, and more.
There are also two more zones, for handmade craft products and for artistic expression, where talented artists will showcase their original documentaries.
In addition to Mexico, the festival will feature artists from Switzerland, Turkiye, the UK, Belgium, Argentina, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Greece, France, Sweden, Israel, Chile, Colombia, Tibet and India.
During the three days there will also be a special children's programme with fun games and workshops. For those wishing to stay on site, the organisers are providing a parking area and a tented camp with sanitary facilities.
Part of the festival will be held on municipal grounds and therefore the Municipality of Mezdra will assist logistically for its implementation
