The road between Botevgrad and Vidin (Northwestern Bulgaria) is one of the projects that will hopefully be completed by the end of the government’s term, said Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Ivanov at the start of the regular cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

Speaking about the road’s section between Botevgrad and Mezdra, which opened to traffic on July 3, Ivanov described it as a perfect example of how institutional cooperation and coordination can achieve long-delayed goals. "For over six years, due to the state’s paralysis, this project was blocked, creating a real nightmare for those traveling toward Vidin," he argued.

Ivanov assured those efforts will be made in the coming months to ensure significant progress on the section between Botevgrad and Lyutidol, with the goal of turning it into a “proper road”.
