site.btaExhibition Presents Architectural Stories from Bulgarian Villages

The Houses and People audiovisual exhibition presents traditional rural houses and the emotional stories of their guardians, the Ruralheritage.bg platform reported. The exhibition opens on Wednesday, July 2, at the Espace Port A space in Sofia.
The project, curated by Vasil Vladimirov, includes photographs and audio stories that document the richness of rural architecture and the stories of generations of inhabitants, sealed in the walls and floors of these buildings. Rural homes are interpreted not simply as objects, but as an important part of cultural heritage, which preserves knowledge and memories.
The seven houses and their associated personal stories were selected after a year of research by the initiative team led by architects Elena Stoycheva and Georgi Nikolov. The selected stories exemplify the willpower, love of detail and respect for local construction techniques invested in the restoration of these homes with their colorful stained glass windows, authentic ornaments and unique murals.
The emphasis falls not only on the architecture of the houses, but also on the personal stories of their guardians.
