site.btaSofia Hosts IX European Physics Olympiad


Students from around the world will participate in the ninth European Physics Olympiad, announced the Natural Sciences Olympic Teams Association (NSOTA).
The international competition is organized as a joint initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science, Sofia University, and NSOTA, and will take place in Sofia from June 13 to 17.
Teams from 40 countries around the world are expected to participate in the competition. Each country can send one team of up to five students and one leader. As the host country, Bulgaria is entitled to participate with two teams.
The European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) is a competition for students that aims to simulate real-world research and encourage creative solutions. Although EuPhO is primarily aimed at European countries, teams from around the world are also welcome to participate.
