The conditions for tourism in the mountains are good, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross reported to BTA.

There is light wind in the highest parts of the mountains, fog in some places in Stara Planina, and temperatures are between 8C and 13C.

Before noon in the mountains the weather will be mostly sunny, with a  moderate northwesterly wind, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology reported. After noon, cumulus and cumulus-rain clouds will develop over the massifs of Western Bulgaria, as well as in the Central Balkans, and there will be short-term rain showers, accompanied by thunderstorms. Highs at 1,200m will be 21C, 14C at 2,000m.
