Kalin Veliov has left his post as Deputy Minister of Culture. The musician told BTA on Friday that Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov signed an order to this effect on May 20.
Veliov held the office for eight months, half of the time under caretaker Culture Minister Nayden Todorov and the remainder under Marian Bachev.
He commented: “Communication with the Culture Ministry administration, with all employees was wonderful all along, and very fruitful. Working with my colleagues was great. Our work was very intense from September until January as the year was coming to a close and there was a host of unfinished programmes.”
The remarks came a day after Veliov wrote on Facebook to thank the Culture Ministry’s team for their cooperation. He said he will carry on with his career in music.
Kalin Velyov is a former Member of Parliament for the GERB party. He is a pop and jazz percussionist and singer and a well-known TV personality.
