The Broadway musical Chicago comes to Sofia with a total of three performances, the first of which is on Wednesday, May 21, and the other two on May 22, reported Fest Team.

The longest-running American musical in history is visiting Bulgaria as part of its European tour. The original production, which continues to triumph on Broadway and the West End, will be presented at the National Palace of Culture.

The star-studded cast includes Nadia Bull, Michelle Antrobus, Matt Blaker, Rachel Stanley and Todd Talbot, who will reprise the legendary roles of Roxie Hart, Velma Kelly and Billy Flynn.

All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango and Razzle Dazzle will be performed live, woven into the story of Roxie Hart, an aspiring dancer who finds herself at the centre of a sensational trial, turning the crime into a spectacle and the courtroom into a stage.

The musical has won six Tony Awards, two Laurence Olivier Awards and one Grammy.
