Parliament on Friday approved the members and leaders of its standing delegations to several international organizations.

Speaking on the sidelines of Parliament before the sitting, Velichie Floor Leader Ivelin Mihaylov said the decision left no places for MPs from Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) – New Beginning, MECh (Morality, Unity, Honour) and Velichie. MRF – New Beginning demanded that the allocation be reviewed and called for a meeting of the National Assembly Presiding Council.

For the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, MPs elected Denitsa Sacheva of GERB-UDF as head and Toshko Yordanov of There Is Such a People (TISP) as deputy head. The full members will be Nadezhda Yordanova of Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB), Atidzhe Alieva-Veli of MRF – New Beginning, Maya Dimitrova of BSP – United Left and Pavela Mitova of There Is Such a People (TISP), with Kostadin Angelov and Mihail Mitov, both GERB-UDF, Clement Shopov and Iskra Mihaylova of Vazrazhdane, and Ilian Iontchev and Krasimir Yordanov of BSP – United Left serving as alternates.

Parliament chose Hristo Gadzhev of GERB-UDF to head the NATO Parliamentary Assembly delegation; Radoslav Ribarski of CC-DB and Dragomir Stoynev of BSP – United Left were appointed deputy heads, while Dimcho Dimchev of Vazrazhdane, Bayram Bayram of MRF – New Beginning and Aleksandar Valchev of TISP became members.

Delian Dobrev of GERB-UDF will lead the delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, with Yordanka Fandakova of GERB-UDF and Deyan Dechev of BSP – United Left as deputy heads. The members are Kiril Petkov of CC-DB and Stanislav Anastassov of MRF – New Beginning, while Angel Georgiev of Vazrazhdane and Vladimir Georgiev and Dragomir Petrov of TISP are alternates.

Rositsa Kirova of GERB-UDF was elected to head the standing delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union, and Petya Dimitrova of TISP became deputy head. Denitsa Simeonova of CC-DB, Iskra Mihaylova of MRF – New Beginning and Ivan Ibrishimov of BSP – United Left were chosen as members.

The delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the South-East European Cooperation Process will be headed by Nataliya Kiselova of BSP – United Left. Denitsa Nikolova of GERB-UDF, Dzhem Yamenov of MRF – New Beginning and Aleksandar Rashev of TISP are full members, with Lena Borislavova and Yavor Bozhankov of CC-DB as alternates.

Petar Kanev of BSP – United Left will lead the delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. The members are Tsveta Karayancheva and Aleksandar Ivanov of GERB-UDF, Hyusein Hafazov of MRF – New Beginning and Stanislav Balabanov of TISP.

Roumen Hristov of GERB-UDF was elected head of the delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean, while Lyuben Ivanov of CC-DB and Kiril Dobrev of BSP – United Left were named members.

Toma Bikov of GERB-UDF will chair the delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy, joined by Peter Petrov of Vazrazhdane, Kalin Stoyanov of MRF – New Beginning and Atanas Atanasov of BSP – United Left.

Krasimir Terziev, an independent MP, will head the delegation in the Parliamentary Dimension of the Central European Initiative; Kosta Stoyanov of Vazrazhdane, Elvan Gyurkash of MRF – New Beginning, Bilyana Ivanova of BSP-United Left and Dimitar Gardev of TISP will serve as members.

Desislav Taskov of BSP – United Left will lead the permanent delegation to the L'Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie, with Elisaveta Belobradova of CC-DB as deputy head and Venko Sabrutev of CC-DB and Ayten Sabri of Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF)-New Beginning as members.

Earlier on Friday the National Assembly elected Margarita Nikolova and Silvia Kadreva as vice presidents of the Bulgarian National Audit Office (BNAO), and Daniela Milusheva as its member. The three took the oath of office at a ceremony in the Assembly.
