site.btaAdalbert Krastev Elected Administrative Head of Military Appellate Prosecution Office

The Prosecutors Chamber of the Supreme Judicial Council has elected Prosecutor Adalbert Krastev as administrative head of the Military Appellate Prosecution Office. Until now he was acting head.

During a hearing, Krastev noted a need of revisions to the Criminal Procedure Code, where Article 396 should stipulate that all security service personnel should fall under the jurisdiction of military courts.

He identified a need to appoint junior military investigators across the country, as currently a single person is responsible for large regions such as Burgas and Varna, and some military investigators are nearing retirement.
