Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia Daniil celebrated a divine Easter service on Sunday in the metropolitan cathedral church St. Nedelya, where hundreds of lay people had gathered.
Traditionally, at this festive liturgy, texts from the Gospel are read in different languages, dedicated to the Resurrection of the Son of God Jesus Christ. This is a reminder that the good news of Christ's Resurrection was carried by the apostles to all peoples of the world.
"For a believer, everything is possible. The greatest testimony to the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is that so many millions and billions of people have changed their lives. They have understood the power of a pious life. The power to live the way the Lord has shown us. This resurrects the human soul," he told journalists upon entering the temple.
During the liturgy, the Patriarch said that the Resurrection of Christ is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. And he called on those present to believe with all their hearts.
Тhis year Christians all over the world celebrate the Resurrection of Christ on the same date, - regardless of whether they are Orthodox, Catholics or Armenians.
