Conference on Impact of Fake News on European Democracies to Be Held in Sofia

A conference on "The Impact of Fake News on European Democracies" will be held on Thursday at the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication of Sofia University. The two are organizers and hosts of the event.

The forum is dedicated to the academic community's efforts to develop new and innovative methods of informal education aimed at improving media literacy among school and university students.

The project "Media Masters: Enhancing Media Literacy" will be presented as part of the event. A roundtable discussion will address issues related to the conference topic. A board game and a mobile app developed during the course of the project will be showcased.

Participants will include BTA Director General Kiril Valchev, Bulgarian National Radio Director General Milen Mitev, Council for Electronic Media acting Chair Simona Veleva, Education Ministry representatives and Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies Chair Aleksander Hristov.
