site.btaPM Denkov Confers with American Jewish Committee CEO Deutsch

"Thank you for Bulgaria's clear position in opposing anti-Semitism," the CEO of the American Jewish Committee, Ted Deutsch, said during a meeting with Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, held within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, the Council of Ministers said on its official Facebook page Saturday.  

Denkov stressed that Bulgaria had always been proud of saving Bulgarian Jews during World War II. He specifically drew attention to the fact that Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev did not authorise the holding of a Lukov March in the Bulgarian capital. 

Prime Minister Denkov's conversation with Ted Deutsch also focused on the conflict between Israel and Hamas, as well as solutions for achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.
