An exhibition titled "Women and the Poster" was unveiled at Sofia's Sredets Gallery on Monday. The International Triennial of Stage Poster turns 30 this year.
Exhibited until February 16 are the works of 21 female poster artists whose creative paths are related to the International Triennial of Stage Poster – Sofia.
At the opening, art critic Albena Spasova said that the exhibition proves how multi-faceted, varied, and talented the art posters is, and through the eyes of its creators.
Lyuba Tomova, who won the grand prize in the 2022 edition of the Triennial, said for BTA that she reads literature and creates posters. Her works are not made for actual theatre plays. "These are the so-called posters where a person creates their own problem," she explained.
