The condition of His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia Neophyte is improving and is stable, metropolitans Nikolai of Plovdiv and Metropolitan Cyprian of Stara Zagora, who is the spokesman of the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, told BTA and BNT reporters Sunday.

The two metropolitans answered questions  after the Holy Divine Liturgy and thanksgiving prayer for the Nameday of His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia, Neophyte, was held Sunday at the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia. 

Patriarch Neophyte was hospitalized with a lung ailment in November of 2023.
