"We have information that the Interior Minister was pressured by Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria to work for them during the elections. I hope that he will have the courage to say it and you should start seeking information. That’s why they are asking his resignation,” Movement for Rights and Freedoms floor leader Delyan Peevski told journalists in Parliament.

“I think that the case is very different. I have known for a long time that they will ask for his resignation,” said Peevski. He said tat he learnt this from sources from the team of Interior Minister Stoyanov.

Peevski said that the MRF won’t ask for the Interior Minister’s resignation because he did not interfere in the elections and the Ministry did its job.

Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria urged for the resignations of Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov and the leadership of the Bulgarian Football Union and one of the reasons is the escalation during Thursday’s protests of football fans next to the National Stadium.

According to the Peevski, the Russian oil derogation should be revoked because it finances with billions the regime of Vladimir Putin. "After Petkov's statement on Thursday that he is ready to sacrifice the government, I am convinced that they have a private interest in Lukoil," said Peevski.

"I would not support a government which works against Euro-Atlanticism and if they continue to work with Vazrazhdane and BSP, we won't support them," said the MRF floor leader.

"We are alerting the prosecution on Friday," said Peevski. According to him, the sanctions are breached and there will certainly be arrests.

"We'll submit categorical evidence and if they are independent of the government, the prosecution and the services will do their jobs. Peevski said that of they fail to do their job, then many resignations will be on the agenda.
