site.btaAzerbaijan National Assembly Chair Sahiba Gafarova Arrives on Visit to Bulgaria
The Chair of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, will be on an official visit to Bulgaria on Tuesday. The visit was at the invitation of Bulgarian National Assembly Chair Rosen Zhelyazkov, the parliamentary press centre reported.
The official visit will begin 10 am in front of the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, where Gafarova will lay a wreath. After that, a meeting between her and Zhelyazkov will be held in the building of the National Assembly.
After plenary talks between the National Assembly chairs of Bulgaria and Azerbaijan and representatives of the two institutions, Gafarova will meet with President Rumen Radev and Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov.
Gafarova and the delegation led by her will visit the Center for Azerbaijani Language and Culture at the Center for Eastern Languages and Culture at Sofia University.
In April of this year, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences signed an agreement on bilateral scientific cooperation. During their visit to Bulgaria, the delegation from the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences visited the National Archaeological Museum, the National Ethnographic Museum, the National Anthropological Museum and the BAS Institute of Literature, and got acquainted with the new achievements and current projects of the BAS scientists.
