At its meeting on Wednesday, the government appointed four regional governors - of the regions of Montana, Vidin, Blagoevgrad and Vratsa.

Ivaylo Antonov was appointed governor of Montana Region. Antonov was director at the Montana Regional Police Directorate from 2015 to 2019. Before that, he worked at the Economic Police at the State Department of Internal Affairs. Ivaylo Antonov was the head of the Money Laundering Sector at the State Anti-Money Laundering Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, head of the Organized Crime Prevention Sector of the Ministry of Interior, etc. As an employee of the Ministry of Interior he has been awarded many times. The last position he held was the manager of the Water and Sewerage Company Berkovitsa.

Ivo Atanasov is the new regional governor of Vidin Region. Atanasov was an MP in the 45th, 46th, 47th and 48th National Assemblies, and was a member of the committees on law, energy, environment and water, economy and innovation. He graduated law from Sofia University and has worked as a notary and judge at the Vidin regional Court. Since 1992 he has been a lawyer at the Vidin Lawyer Association. In his professional experience he has been a legal consultant in banks and in Bulgarian and foreign companies.

Maria Dimova has been appointed regional governor of Blagoevgrad Region. She holds a master's degree in law from the Southwestern University. For many years she worked as a legal adviser in the private sector. 

Nadia Donkinska is the new governor of Vratsa Region. She holds a Master's degree in Finance and Credit from the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics. She is a graduate in Economics and Finance, with a degree in Finance and Finance. She has held management positions in banking institutions. 

The government decision dismissed the previous regional governors of the four regions.
