site.btaTodor Tagarev: This Year Bulgaria Will Not Receive Compensation For Aid Provided to Ukraine Under December 2022 Decision
In 2023 Bulgaria will not receive compensation for the material means it provided to Ukraine under the December 2022 decision, said Defence Minister Todor Tagarev on Wednesday ahead of his hearing in the Parliamentary Defence committee.
Tagarev said he hoped Bulgaria would receive compensation in 2024. "We expect a compensation of about 55% of the assessment that was made on the funds provided to Ukraine. The funds that have been collected in the European Peace Facility Fund have been spent", the Minister explained.
In mid-April that Bulgaria was expected to receive 59% compensation for the aid provided to Ukraine in the period July-November 2022.
