site.btaEurostat: Construction in Bulgaria Increases By 1% in May Compared to April
The output of the construction sector in both the European Union and the euro area increased by 0.2% in May compared to April 2023, according to the initial seasonally adjusted data of the European statistical office Eurostat, published on Wednesday on its website.
On a year-on-year basis (compared to May 2022), building construction in the EU decreased by 0.4%, while in the euro area it increased by 0.1%.
In Bulgaria, May 2023 saw a 1% increase in construction volume compared to the previous month, seasonally adjusted Eurostat data show.
In the first quarter of the year (January-March), Bulgaria recorded a 0.7 per cent decline in output in the construction sector compared to the last quarter of 2022.
