Bucharest hosted an Anatolian Food Fest Sunday. The already traditional event aims to popularize Turkish culture via the country's cuisine and folklore, the organizers told BTA.

At 40 stands located in Titan Park, residents and visitors had the opportunity to taste Turkish delicacies such as Adana kebab, pizza-type Lakhmajun, Gozleme pastry with various fillings, and deserts such as Kunefe, Kadaif or Baklava and to cool down with Turkish lemonade, sherbet and ice cream.

Chefs prepared, directly in front of the audience Tantouni kebabs from the province of Mersin and chebureks with cheese and meat.  Visitors could buy Turkish delight, jam, halva or tea to take away, and drink a Turkish coffee made in a jar on sand on the spot for RON 10-15 (BGN 4-6).

"A cup of coffee is remembered for 40 years," goes a Turkish proverb. And I want to leave an unforgettable memory in visitors with my coffee on sand," one of the exhibitors at the festival told BTA.

Surprises awaited guests on a special stage in the evening. They had the opportunity to see Dervishes dance live.
