site.btaTwelve Foreign Universities Looking for Bulgarian Language Teachers

Twelve foreign universities in eleven countries have announced a recruitment procedure for Bulgarian language and literature lecturers for the next academic year. The vacancies are at two universities in Slovakia and one each in France, China, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Armenia and Croatia, the press centre of the Ministry of Education and Science said on Friday.

Teachers of Bulgarian language and literature at foreign universities are seconded there on a long-term basis by the university or institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences where they hold an academic position.

Currently, Bulgarian language and literature is taught in a total of 31 universities abroad. The main aim of the lectureships is to ensure maximum visibility of the teaching of Bulgarian language and literature not only among academics but also among the general public.
