site.btaBulgaria to Share in COVID-19 Vaccines Supplementary Agreement

The Council of Ministers Tuesday approved Bulgaria's participation in the fifth supplementary agreement to the Purchase Agreement for the further development, production, purchasing options and supply of COVID-19 vaccines for EU Member States (SANTE/2021/03/020) between the European Commission and Pfizer Inc./BioNTech Manufacturing GmbH, and agreed that the EC will represent Bulgaria for the conclusion of the agreement.

Thanks to Bulgaria's consistent and transparent position, SANTE/2021/03/020 makes it possible for Bulgaria to declare the quantities actually needed until 2026. Participation in the fifth supplementary agreement will also reduce significantly the financial burden on the country.
