Union of Democratic Forces (UDF) leader Rumen Hristov voted Sunday in Sofia using a paper ballot. He said he voted for a stable Bulgaria and for a regular government that will curb inflation, ensure the purchasing power of the incomes of the Bulgarian citizens, limit the budget deficit in order to meet the eurozone criteria, protect the border and become a member of Schengen.
In response to a question about the alternatives after the vote today, Hristov believes that they are difficult, but expressed hope that there will be wisdom in politicians who must sit down at a table and act with national responsibility. That should be the guiding principle - being nationally responsible, he said. Rumen Hristov expressed hope to have a regular government, which he said depends on the of political formations that will enter parliament.
